The project
Since the opening of its first location in Dallas, Jasper’s was named one of Esquire Magazine’s Top 20 Best New Restaurants in America and one of Texas Monthly’s 10 Best New Restaurants in Texas.
This show of support helped kick-start Executive Chef/Owner Kent Rathbun’s idea to take his “gourmet backyard cuisine” to the patios of Houston and Austin.
With MCA Public Relations in his corner, Chef Rathbun launched his second location in The Woodlands (a suburb of Houston) in fall 2005. The third restaurant locale opened its doors in Austin in spring 2007.
The plan
As a client of ours for the past 10 years, Chef Rathbun knew he was in good hands. Through pre-opening and opening media outreach, we publicized the Jasper’s concept to potentially hundreds of thousands of Rathbun’s customers.
